Although it is hard to predict what a child could find upsetting in a film, a U should be suitable for any audience to watch alone. The film should carry a moral, and any violence or upset should be counterbalanced and resolved.

2nd day of editing
We did the title and credits this lesson. We worked out who had done what in the sequence and then made the text scroll. We then decided as a group on the title 'The Pursuit' and put this into the film. We worked on the GarageBand soundtrack, but found this difficult without having the movie in GarageBand too, because the timings were hard to get. So once the sequence had been editing we exported it into GarageBand, and the music became much easier to get in time with the movie.

1st day of editing
We uploaded our footage onto Final Cut Express, and started cutting out all the scenes we didn't need. We would watch them all and then decide what the best one to use was. We then decided to plan what visual effects we would use, and how the shots would play together. We thought the moped in our sequence looked too slow so we edited it, to make it faster.

2nd day of filming
Today we had all the rooms back that we needed to film in, which meant we managed to finish our filming. We did the shots inside, and made sure we got more than we needed so we were able to pick the best one and would have plenty of shots incase we couldn't use the room again and needed to continue filming. We then shot the outside shots, and worked fast because the weather looked like it was going to rain soon and this would ruin our film.

1st day of filming
Today we attemted filming, however all did not go as planned. There were numerous obsticle that prevented us from filming our film. We forgot some of props so we had to spend 30 minutes try to scavenge them. We wasted prescious time. Not only this but evrytime we found a location to film we were disrupted by teachers.

time line of shots
We made a timeline to plan the timings of our film, and specific shots. We used the storyboard to plan each twenty seconds of the two minutes of opening sequence. We draw some pictures on here too, to make it all clearer and easier to understand what is going on when.

Storyboard
These are our storyboards which show the shots we are shooting, and how long each shot will last. The storyboards are a plan, we wrote what is happening in each shot and draw pictures showing the main bit of action. We will need to take the storyboards out filming with us to keep us on track and make sure we dont run over the two minutes we have for our opening sequence. The timing of each shot is important and we should try stick to this as well as we can, because otherwise the sequence could become too short or too long. We had to plan carefully what each shot would be, because we dont want to have to make time for extra shots we have missed out later when we could be filming instead. The shots have to make sense together so that the audience can understand the story.

costumes
bad guys (Tom and Dan) : all black. tracksuit bottoms , coat or jumper. white shoes (to symbolize a bit of good/purity in them). black gloves, sunglasses (maybe), ped helmets. The bad guys must wear all black as it is a typical cliche, that black is evil. So therefore the children watching will instantly no that they are the bad guys. We also have the guys wearing white trainers. This is imperative to teach the children that not all people are completely bad. Our choice of costumes also teach morals in the form of road safety. The bad guys are wearing helmets to show the importance of safety.
Good guys (Hannah and Tim) : bright colour tops, MAKE UP, gloves, Grey tracksuit bottoms , boots or trainers. Its important for the good guys to wear bright colours to portray good. It will make them easily identifiable to the children watching that they are good people.

clipanalysis
From the children s clips that we watched, we came to the conclusion that the films contain bright colours and the majority of the films contain a moral within the film. furthermore the good and bad guys are portrayed in different ways. Th good guys in a film are normally portrayed as stronger by using low angle shots, furthermore the actors where bright clothes. On the other hand the bad guys where dark clothing and are seemed to be weaker using high angle shots. An example of this is is the 80's childrens film Transformers. A shown below"

garageband ideas
We found that all childrens films theme songs are catchy and upbeat. They tell the audience what the story is about and the genre of them children's film. For instance, in the 80's version of Transformers, the theme song at the beginning of the film tells us that the genre of the film is action, and the images which are in sequence with the theme song gives us a glimpse of the narrative. In most action children's films the beat of the tune is normally quicker to give an adrenaline effect to the theme song.
This is our example:
for our two minute children's film we are going to use garageband to create the theme tune for our film. From the research that we have collected we can tell that theme tune that we are going to create needs to have a quick beat, and a catchy tune. An example of the instruments that we are going to use on garageband are the Drums and the guitar
